{ Cranberry-Apple Chutney }

From the article The Cranberry Advantage : Prevention : December 2007

2 c fresh cranberries
1 med apple, peeled and cut into 14" cubes (about 1 c)
1/3 c brown sugar
1/4 c orange juice
3 Tbsp cider vinegar
1/2 tsp kosher salt
1/4 tsp grated fresh ginger or 1/8 tsp ground ginger
1/4 tsp freshly grated lime zest
1/8 tsp ground cinnamon

BOIL all ingredients in 2-quart saucepan over medium heat. Reduce heat and simmer vigorously 15 minutes, until thickened. Let cool and refrigerate. Pair with roast turkey or baked ham or use instead of mustard or mayonnaise on sandwiches.
